CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Excess volatility increases risk further. Be cautious. Past performance is not an indication of future results.

Who holds the balance, and who is only carrying it (Bangladesh)

"Where is my money" is not one question. It is four, and each belongs to a different pair of hands. A broker is one of those pairs — and knowing which one it is settles most of what people find confusing about transfers.

A broker holds a balance and gives access to markets. It does not carry money across the country and it does not decide the working days of whoever does. Between an ordinary account and a trading balance there is always at least one carrier, and while money is with a carrier, the broker can state only when it handed it over.

Four pairs of hands

What each one holds, and what each one can tell you

The account you already have

Holds money before it starts and after it comes back. It knows what left and what returned, and nothing at all about what happened in between.

The carrier

Holds nothing for long — it moves value from one place to another. It owns the working days, the cut-off times and the conversion applied on the way.

The broker

Holds the trading balance under your name and prices what you trade against it. Exness is the broker in this case; the balance, the states and the timestamps all live in its Personal Area.

The market

Holds nothing and owes nothing. It only moves the figure while a position is open — which is why a balance can shrink without a single transfer leaving.

Rows one, three and four are readings you take yourself. Only row two normally needs anyone else — and it needs the amounts from row one to be answerable. Where each question goes.

Why a broker is not the carrier — and why that helps

It is tempting to treat the whole journey as one service with one help desk. It is not, and the split is useful rather than annoying: it tells you where a stalled figure is standing.

A request that has not left the broker's side is a broker question, and it can usually be read off the screen without asking anyone. A request the broker has finished with is a carrier question, and no amount of asking the broker will move it — what the broker can supply is the timestamp that makes the carrier's answer possible.

The same split explains a small thing that puzzles people: a transfer can be confirmed at any hour, because the broker's side records it as an entry immediately, while the money itself still travels on whatever route carries it. Processing times may vary. Two different owners, two different calendars.

What a broker holds, in plain terms

A balance in your name, an entry for every movement into or out of it, and the prices at which positions open and close. From that, three numbers are derived, and they are not the same number: balance, equity, and free margin. Most confusion about a funded account is a case of reading the first when the screen is reading the third.

Access to those figures runs through the Personal Area — the private dashboard behind the login. That is also where the identity check sits, where the transaction list sits, and where the options available to a specific account are listed with their costs and expected times before each confirmation.

Where this site sits in the picture

Nowhere in the chain. It holds no money, carries none, and cannot see a balance, a request or a state. It is an independent guide that explains what those four pairs of hands each do, so that a question is asked in the right place the first time.

It also does not say what to trade. Trading with leverage can lose money, and the fourth pair of hands — the market — makes no promises to anyone.

Questions about who holds what

If the broker holds the balance, why can it not simply push the money through?

Because past the hand-off the money is with a carrier, on the carrier's calendar. What the broker holds at that point is a record and a timestamp, not the funds.

Who applied the conversion I did not expect?

Whichever side carried a sum in a currency other than the account currency. The two crossings shows where it happens on each leg.

Is a trading balance the same thing as money in an ordinary account?

It behaves differently in one important way: part of it can be held in place by an open position, so the amount shown and the amount available are two figures.

Why does the funding list not offer every option?

Available options follow the account and the region, and the list is generated for that account rather than published in general. What the screen states before you confirm.

Does the broker decide how long a transfer takes?

Only its own leg, and it states an expected time for that leg before you confirm. The second leg belongs to the carrier and to working days.

Who asks for identity documents, and why?

The broker, once, before money first leaves. It establishes who receives the funds — not what was traded. What it asks for.

What does it cost to have a balance held?

Holding an account carries no monthly charge. Costs appear on a cashier screen for a chosen option and inside the price of a trade as the spread.

Can this site check where a specific transfer is?

No. It has no access to any account. The state and its timestamp are read in the Personal Area, and everything after the hand-off belongs to the carrier.
